Vasilis Markakis

Vassilis Markakis has been an external guard of detention facilities of the Ministry of Citizen Protection since 2006 and serves at the Alikarnassos Detention Centre. He is distinguished for his leadership skills, effective conflict management, teamwork and empathy.

He holds a degree in Public Administration from the Hellenic Open University, and has completed postgraduate studies in Criminology, specializing in criminal and criminological approaches to corruption, economic and organized crime.

He is fluent in English and possesses critical skills such as strategic planning, critical thinking and self-confidence, which enhance his dynamic presence in the sensitive and critical field of security and public order.
